Batting/Fighting Rules
The pokemon world is about battling/leveling up/evolving. The battling in PD is dived up into three parts.
---
Level/Type - Face it, a fire type cannot be defeated by a water type so easily, and a level 5 has no chance against a level 40. Please keep this in mind when writing your battle post.
Spelling/Effort - Spelling is very important! It is what makes a role-play. If person one makes a bunch of mistake in a one-sentence post, he is not going to win against someone who posted a reasonable, perfectly acceptable post. Length is not what matters, but effort. Effort means you took time to make the post and did not just throw it there. There is a spell checker for a reason!
Note: This does not effect wild Pokemon captures; the judge will decide if you get your desired Pokemon.
Fairness/Realistic - Your Pokemon cannot dodge every single attack thrown at it! If I see you dodging every attack, I will deduct points. Also, you cannot make every attack hit. Some attacks are stronger than others, keep that in mind. No instant kill -- it’s just stupid.
The judges (a staff member) will base their decision upon these these three things and will decide a winner based on them. They will then give you a review.
Here’s an example.
Level/Type - 7/10
Spelling/Effort - 8/10
Fairness/Realistic - 9/10
A battle ends when both players agree or a staff member says so.
A staff member will tell you how much experience you gain or if your Pokemon is ready to evolve. When your Pokemon reaches a certain level that is needed to learn an attack, a mod will tell you.
For those who do not know where the spell checker is:
